A cutting power model for end milling operation in milling machine has been developed in the research of energy consumption in milling machine. Through experiment, it was founded that compared with feed rate and depth of cutting, rotational speed affects cutting power very much. Many experiments were performed to verify this modeling method and promising results were reached.
But feed shaft power needs to be verified in the future. This is aimed at the end milling process in cnc milling machine and also, there are other cutting processes need to be studied in the future. And it is suggested that in experiment, many more method should be developed in the study of energy consumption of machine tools.
